1 Booking your class
All classes are booked in advance through our booking system and are subject to availability. Your place is confirmed once the booking is complete. Reformer Pilates classes are kept small - six people at most - so it is worth booking ahead for a preferred time. If you're not sure a class is right for your experience or ability, get in touch and we'll help you choose.
2 Changing or cancelling: more than 24 hours before
Give us 24 hours and you lose nothing. Cancel and the class goes straight back on your account as a credit - onto your pass if that is how you paid, or as a class credit for the same kind of class if you paid for it on the day. Credits are not refunds: we do not send payments back to the card, and a class credit can only be used on the kind of class it came from. Move to any other class with a space, as many times as you like, at no charge. The new class gets its own 24-hour deadline.
3 Changing or cancelling: inside 24 hours
Inside 24 hours the class is used, whether or not you make it. We hold the bed and the teacher plans around you. The buttons to move or cancel stop working at that point, and we will tell you why on screen rather than let you try. You are welcome to send someone in your place - tell us their name so the register is right.
4 Not turning up
A missed class without notice counts as used. No fee, no telling off. If it becomes a habit we may ask you to book closer to the day so the space goes to someone who can use it.
5 Arriving late
Get there 5-10 minutes early, especially the first time. Once a class has started we may not be able to let you in - it is not fair on the room or the teacher's plan. A late arrival we cannot seat is treated as a late cancellation: the class credit or payment is used.
6 Who can book
RESET classes are for adults aged 18 and over. We are not able to take bookings for anyone under 18.
7 Your account
Booking needs an account. That is what lets you move or cancel a class yourself, at any hour, without waiting for us to answer an email. You can change your details, your health notes and your notification preferences from your account at any time, and you can delete your account there too.
8 Passes and memberships
Class packs, credits and memberships are personal to you and cannot be shared or transferred to someone else unless we agree it. Class packs carry an expiry date, shown when you buy and on your account, and unused classes cannot normally be carried past it. A class credit from a cancellation works the same way: it has its own expiry date on your account, and it can only be used on the kind of class it came from. Memberships are rolling and monthly: they renew on the same date each month and you can stop them any time before the next renewal, with no notice period. Unused monthly classes do not roll over. Some memberships and packages carry their own extra terms - for payment, renewal, cancelling or freezing - which we give you when you buy.
9 Special events and workshops
Special events are not part of the weekly timetable and work differently. Each one says what it is selling and what one of them costs - a table, a child's place, a ticket - and the description tells you what it covers; a table, for instance, is booked as a whole however many sit at it. Events are paid for on their own: passes, memberships and class credits never cover one, and a pass cannot be bought to cover one either. Event bookings are not refundable through the website. Up to 48 hours before the event you can move your booking to another event free, or give it up so somebody else can have it, but nothing comes back either way. If something has come up, ring us on 01709 437575 and we will see what we can do. If RESET has to call an event off, everybody booked on is told and what they paid goes onto their account balance to spend on anything.
10 Waitlists
Joining a waitlist is free and takes no payment details. If a space appears we text and email everybody on the list at the same time, and it goes to whoever books it first - so it is worth acting quickly. For 2 hours the space is the waitlist's: nobody who is not on the list can take it. If somebody is quicker than you, you stay on the list and we tell you again the next time a space comes up. Payment happens at the point you take the space.
11 How far ahead you can book
The timetable opens 4 weeks ahead. Members get in earlier - the classes appear on their account before anyone else can take them.
12 When we have to change something
Occasionally we need to change an instructor, class format or the timetable, and we cannot guarantee that a particular instructor will teach a particular class. If RESET has to cancel a class outright, every booking goes back on your account as a credit automatically, and we tell you by email and text. If a credit is not right for you in that situation, get in touch and we will sort it out with you. We do not expect to do either often.
13 Health and safety
Tell us about injuries, pregnancy, recent surgery or anything else that affects how you move. Your teacher sees those notes and nobody else does. If something changes, update your account before your next class. If you are ever unsure whether a class is right for you, check with a healthcare professional before taking part. Exercise carries some risk of injury - work within your own capabilities, and stop and tell your teacher if anything feels wrong. Your teacher may suggest a change to an exercise, or ask you to stop, if that is the safer thing to do.
14 Grip socks
Grip socks are compulsory for Reformer Pilates. Bring your own, or buy a pair at the studio before class - for safety and hygiene, we can't let you take part without them.
15 New to RESET?
If it's your first class with us, or your first time on a reformer, just let your instructor know when you arrive. They will walk you through the equipment, the studio and how the class runs, so you feel comfortable before you start.
16 Your belongings
Bring what you need for the class, including footwear and clothing suited to what you're doing. Anything you bring onto the premises is at your own risk - we can't be responsible for loss, theft or damage, except where the law does not allow us to limit that.
17 Respecting our community
RESET should feel welcoming for everyone. Treat instructors, staff and fellow guests with kindness, and we will do the same for you. We may refuse a booking or ask someone to leave where behaviour is unsafe, disruptive or abusive.
18 Liability
Exercise carries an inherent risk of injury. Taking part means working within your own capabilities and following your teacher's reasonable instructions. Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
19 Photography and filming
We sometimes photograph or film at RESET for our website, social media or other marketing. Where you'd be identifiable, we ask permission first. If you would rather not be photographed or filmed, just let a member of the team know.
20 Your data
We keep what we need to run your bookings: your name, contact details, health notes and booking history. You can download or delete it from your account. Text messages about bookings are part of the service; marketing is separate and you opt into it.
21 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, to reflect changes to our classes, booking or policies. The version on our website is always the current one.
